Meet Our Team
Vera School is privileged to have a passionate and devoted team of 70 staff members.
The principal, Cecil Reed, and deputy principal Keriston Floris lead the team alongside 5 other management members. A teacher and teaching assistant are allocated to each of our 20 classes, to ensure our learners receive the best support possible. The school has 2 Occupational Therapists, 2 Speech Therapists and 2 Psychologists who provide support in classes and collaborate with teachers to set up learners’ Individualised Educational and Development Programs (IEDP).
The school’s administrative team consists of a secretary; bursar; fundraiser and two past learners employed as administrative assistants. Our grounds are kept in great condition by 7 the groundsmen, who are also responsible for basic maintenance around the school. The hostel staff are responsible for running the hostel facility and making sure that the hostel learners are well cared for. The kitchen caters for the hostel learners and provides refreshments when needed at school functions or training days.
