Trans Diciplinary Team
The strength of our school lies in the smooth functioning and collobration of this team. The disciplines represented are:
Psychology
Education
Speech and Language
Occupational Therapy
Psychiatry (only for some individuals)
Each discipline focuses on an area of particular importance to autistic learners. Although there is respect for professional boundaries and expertise the emphasis lies on sharing of insights and learning from each other. Our team works together for the benefit of our learners. We guard against professional ambition and claims of watertight domains. Professional input is only useful when it strives to enhance the quality of life of our learners. We do not assess for the sake of assessing. We do not focus on weaknesses but on strengths and solutions. Central to and unifying us in our professional endeavours, is the well-being of our learners.
