Training For Professionals
To address the need of the wider professional community for training, the school offers an annual two week intensive (70 hours), experiential course which is offered during the second term. We have trained other professionals in the field to teach this course at their sites. Presently the course can also be offered in Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Space is limited and it is advisable to apply early. Application has to be made on a prescribed form that can be obtained from the school or from the Autism South Africa office.
Course Outline:
A Certificate of attendance is given to successful participants. This Course is endorsed by Autism South Africa, the Paediatric Neurology and Development Association of Southern Africa (PANDA), and the South African Association of Scientific Study for Mentally Handicapped (SAASSMH)
Critical Outcomes:
At the end of each module the participants will demonstrate through reports, questionnaires, making of resources and presentations that they have a deeper understanding of ASD, that they have enhanced their knowledge of educational approaches and have developed skills to apply this knowledge in their own environment.
